Preparations and Procedures for travel
Students who enroll into any of the programs must apply online and provide all the necessary documents requested for each of the respective programs. Documents that are send to the University must either be the scanned copy of the original original or a clear copy of notary attested. In the initial admission process hard copies are not required. But once the candidate receives the offer letter and the candidate accepts the offer for the course they must send a notary attested copy hard copy of all the documents as mentioned in the “documents required column of each program. The next procedure begins once the candidate receives the confirmation letter and permission to travel to Georgia. This is only the first step. On receipt of the confirmation letter the candidate should approach an international ticketing agency and purchase a two way ticket. A two way ticket is mandatory for travel to Georgia as visa is issued on arrival for countries which do not have a Georgian embassy in the respective countries. (This again is only between those countries that have an agreement to issue visa on arrival). For those countries that has a Georgian embassy must apply for student visa by submitting the required applications and the documents that are requisites for the same.
Point to be notedThose candidates who are traveling with visa on arrival status need to send a copy of their confirmed two way ticket to the administration so as to receive acknowledge of “OK to board” from the airlines. Now the student would be ready to travel to Georgia. On the day of Journey students should carry with them the following document for your travel.
At the airport where you are to board you will go to the respective airlines counter from whom you have your ticket and collect your boarding pass and then clear the immigration check. After you have got your Boarding pass please remember that you should convert your currency into international currency if you need to do so, because once you have cleared your immigration you will not be able to make any currency conversion. While traveling ensure that your passport and boarding pass are kept at easy access and safe. You should pay close attention to the announcement made at the airport so as to know the call for your flight. If you are traveling via another airport or city, pay close attention at the transit airport for announcement of your flight. Also make sure that your baggage is booked directly to your destination city or airport.- Passport
- Confirmation cum invitation letter from the institution.
- Fee payment receipt (this is only for verification in case you are asked by any authority before your travel)
Insurance Cover
All individuals who travel abroad from their country of origin require insurance coverage no matter if they are a student or a tourist. Therefore all students should take insurance coverage before they travel from their respective countries. The students are advised to check and understand which would be the best Insurance Company that they would like to select so as to receive maximum benefit (e.g. AIG insurance has coverage all over Europe and most neighboring countries). The students have the option to take travel insurance before their arrival and once they are in Georgia to take a medical insurance plan which suits their purpose and budget.
Medical Check-Up
It is mandatory for all students to have a general Health Checkup done prior to there travel. It is important for you to understand your health condition so as to avoid any health related stress after your arrival to Georgia. A complete physical examination along with the tests listed below should be done before their travel. A report of the same should be carried with the student. List of test to be taken anupam
