Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation program:

The Bachelor Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (it is also known as “Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation”) program of European International Educational University is a four years degree program with 254 credits. The program is par with the European and the American standards of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation program.

It is the prevention of injury and the advanced physical rehabilitation methods which are currently using makes the sports medicine and rehabilitation so important in our present day global community. With the rapidly growing number of amateur athletes entering the sports community today, proper technique and comprehensive knowledge of the problems associated with various types of exercise and sport, as well as with the anatomy and physiology, involved is a necessity. Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation specialists play a key role in all kinds of physical injury recoveries in the modern medical field. Biomechanics is often the link pulling together all the aspects of the field to create a much more successful endeavor. 

Our sports medicine and rehabilitation bachelor degree program’s qualified graduates can earn licensure in many part of the world including in the US and European Union countries as a certified athletic trainer, while others can go for the graduate (masters) study in medicine, physical therapy, physical rehabilitation specialist for treating various kinds of physical injuries or can take jobs in other health care fields world-wide.

The program is offered in English for International students but the international students have to learn the local language during their first year of studies for them to communication with the patients during their clinical practices.

All students undergo regular tests and evaluations during the study process. At the end of every year, a State exam is conducted which is mandatory for the candidate to successfully completing the program in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Georgia.

For getting admission:

Eligibility Criteria for the Bachelor Degree in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation program is open to any individual who is physically and mentally fit with a minimum education qualification of 12 years of schooling from candidate’s home country. 

 

To apply for the four years Bachelor Degree in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, each candidate must fulfill the following criteria.

  • All candidates must have minimum 12 years of schooling (With documentation to prove that the last two years of studies) with medium of instruction as English (if the original academic documents are not written in English, it must be translated and notarized). Also all academic documents must be “apostille”.
  • Candidate must have taken Science subjects including minimum one year of physics during the 10 to 12 years of study period.
  • Candidate should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in the completion year of their 12 years schooling.
  • They should have no police records. A Police Clearance certificate (PCC) is mandatory (candidate must bring this document when she/he comes to Georgia for the studies).
  • Candidate should have proper medical insurance during his/her entire study period in Georgia.
  • Candidate should provide two recommendation letters.

 

Documents Required

Each candidate should submit the following documents to the University during the process of application if he/she wishes to apply using the application form (If not applied online):

1.       Application for the Bachelor Degree in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation program dully filled and signed.

  1. Copy of their valid passport (all pages with printed and written information)
  2. Certificate of completion of their 10th year of schooling.
  3. Certificate of completion of their 12th year of schooling (Must be “apostille” by the ministry of Education)
  4. Birth Certificate and Police Clearance certificate (PCC), these documents candidate can bring it along when he/she arrive in Georgia.
  5. Recommendation letter from two individuals known to the candidate
  • Documents 2nd to 5th must be notary attested and can be scanned and send to the University.
  • All document that are not in English must be translated and Notarized

Documents Required for the Official Admission (The following documents are to be brought to the University on arrival at Tbilisi, Georgia for verification process).

  • All original certificates (School certificates, Birth certificate, PCC)
  • Two sets of Notary attested copies of all Educational certificates, Birth certificate, and copy of Passport
  • Medical Insurance
  • Medical fitness certificate
  • Proof of financial stability to bear the Accommodation and food expenses during their stay in Rustavi/Tbilisi Georgia. (Each candidate must have at least € 150 per month for expenses for Accommodation and food, personal expenses are not included.)
  • Biometric Photographs (3cm by 4cm - This can be taken in Georgia too)


Acceptance and Offer:

Once the University receives the dully filled and signed application form along with the document required for enrollment, the university academic board checks and verifies these documents. On finding the documents in order, it is then forwarded to the ministry of Education for verification and acceptance of the candidate for the program. At the same time, University then sends a conditional offer letter to the candidate and request the candidate to make the initial payment specified in the offer letter (candidate is required to pay Euro 100 initial non refundable fee upon receipt of the offer letter; this initial fee Euro 100 will be adjusted with the full fee).

 

Once the Ministry of Education accepts the candidates and issues a no objection letter/notification to the University, the University arrange Georgian entry visa and also issues the candidate with the confirmation and formal invitation letter. This is a very important document for the candidate to clear the immigration and receive the Georgian entry visa at the Border (air port in Tbilisi).

 

Confirmation and Fees:

On receipt of the confirmation letter from the University the candidate must start preparation for the travel to Georgia. The candidate is to make the payment of the complete fee for the academic year before his/her arrival. Please be advised that if any fee remains pending the candidate will not be accepted at the University or will NOT give permission for entry into the country. The candidate is also to have documentary proof that he/she has sufficient means to maintain himself/herself for the period of studies. (Each individual must have approximately USD200 - USD300 per month). The candidates must arrive in Tbilisi and report to the University no later than the date specified on the confirmation and the formal invitation letter.

 

Tuition Fee for the Program:

The Tuition fee for the Bachelor Degree in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation program for each academic year is € 2,900. This is to be paid at the beginning of every academic year. This fee includes the registration and matriculation fee, tuition fee, lab fee, Sate Exam fee and the rep service charge. [For four years of total educational fee is Euro 11,600 (Euro 2,900 x 4 = Euro 11,600)].

 

General Information: 

On arrival at Tbilisi air port, the candidates will be picked up by the representatives of the University and briefed on their arrangements and reporting time at the University. They will then be taken to the accommodation arranged for them (agent’s representative will arrange student’s accommodation but University do not have any role in arranging student’s accommodation OR students can arrange her/his own accommodation). The representative will also give a general orientation to the students on the place of stay about all concerned mattes.

General Instruction for Gradates (Opportunities for Successful Graduates):

European International Educational University has partnership with many health care institutions in the European Union Countries and in US. Those students who successfully complete their studies can be selected for practicing their profession in different locations (many potential EU based health care group will visit the campus for recruiting potential candidates for their organization). University’s role is to assist the potential health care European employers to conduct job fair at the campus (this is for the final year students only) and the actual deal has to be made between the candidate and with the health care employer. Our university does NOT have any role in the actual hiring process. Our graduates can also join for the Masters program in the Western European or US universities, as per the candidate’s wish.
