Nursing is one of the noblest professions in the world. Nursing Services are very important in a hospital. Nurses work along with the doctors in hospitals in operation theaters, recovery wards and in the care of sick people.
This profession requires love and a mind for service of the sick, needy, injured, convalescing mothers, new-born and sometimes the mentally challenged people also. The nursing profession calls for tremendous patience, responsibility and dedication. The Bachelor Degree in Nursing program of European International Educational University is a four (4) years program with 240 credits. The program is mapped to the European and the American standards of Medical care. The medium of instruction for this course is English and Georgian. During the course of the studies, the candidates go through rigorous work that molded them into good care givers. The international students also learn the local language “Georgian”, during their first year of studies for them to interact with the patients for the clinical practices. Students also have the option learn another European Union Language (German) for taking the opportunity for doing practical training in any of the German specking countries. The students will undergo regular tests and evaluations during the study period. At the end of every year state exam is conducted which is mandatory.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Bachelor Degree in nursing program is open to any individual who is physically and mentally fit with a minimum education qualification of 12 years of schooling from countries recognized by the republic of Georgia. To apply for the four years Nursing Degree each candidate must fulfill the following criteria.
- All candidates must have minimum 12 years of schooling.
- Candidates must be from the Science stream (candidates must have taken science subjects during the last three years of schooling).
- Candidates should have a minimum of 50% aggregate in the completion year of their 12 years schooling.
- Candidates should have no police records. A Police Clearance certificate (PCC) is mandatory.
- Candidates should have appropriate Medical insurance for the study period.
- Candidates should provide two recommendation letters.
- Each candidate must provide in their own handwriting in about 200 words on, “Why you would like to be a nurse?”
Documents Required
Each candidate should submit the following documents to the University during the process of application if he/she wishes to apply using the application form (If not applied online)
1. 1. Application for the Bachelor Degree in Nursing program dully filled and signed
2. 2. Copy of the valid passport (all pages with printed and written information)
3. 3. Certificate of completion of their 10th year of schooling.
4. Certificate of completion of their 12th year of schooling (Must be “apostille” by the ministry of Education)
5. Birth Certificate and Police Clearance certificate (PCC)
6. The statement of purpose
7. Recommendation letter from two individuals known to the candidate
- Documents 2nd to 5th must be notary attested and can be scanned and send to the University.
- All document that are not in English must be translated and Notarized
Documents Required at the time of Admission:
The following documents are to be brought to the University on arrival at Tbilisi, Georgia for verification process.
- All original certificates (School certificates, Birth certificate, PCC).
- Two sets of Notary attested copies of all Educational certificates, Birth certificate, and copy of Passport.
- Medical Insurance document.
- Medical fitness certificate
- Proof of financial stability to bear the Accommodation and food expenses during their stay in Tbilisi Georgia. (Each candidate must have at least € 250 per month for expenses for Accommodation and food, personal expenses are not included.)
- Biometric Photographs (3cm by 4cm - This can be taken in Tbilisi too)
Acceptance and Offer:
Once the University receives the dully filled and signed application form along with the document required for enrollment, the university’s review board checks and verifies these documents. On finding the documents in order, it is then forwarded to the ministry of Education for verification and acceptance of the candidate for the program. The University then sends a conditional offer letter to the candidate and the candidate must make the initial payment specified in the offer letter. Once the Ministry of Education accepts the candidates, the University then issues the candidate with the confirmation and invitation letter, university also apply for visa at that time. The invitation letter is a very important document because this will enable the candidate’s to clear the immigration and receive the entry visa at the Border (air port), in Georgia.
Confirmation and Fees:
On receipt of the confirmation letter from the University the candidate must start preparation for the travel to Georgia. The candidate has to make the payment “full tuition fee” for the academic year before their arrival. Please be advised that if any fee remains pending, the candidate will not be accepted at the University or will not receive permission for entry into the country. The candidate is also to have documentary proof that he/she has sufficient means to maintain himself/herself for the period of studies. (Each individual must have approximately $250 - $350 per month). The candidates are to arrive in Tbilisi and in the University no later than the date specified on the confirmation and invitation letter.
Tuition Fee for the Program:
The Tuition fee for the Bachelor Degree in nursing program for each academic year is € 2,500. This is to be paid at the beginning of every academic year. This fee includes the registration and matriculation fee, tuition fee, lab fee, Sate Exam fee and the rep service charge. [For four years of total educational fee is Euro 10,000 (Euro 2,500 x 4 = Euro 10,000)].
Travel and arrival:
Tbilisi is well connected by all major airlines. It is advised that candidates make arrangement early, as cost of tickets goes up closer to the date of travel. They must check with the travel agents regarding the route, total time required for the journey and any stop over during the journey. The candidates should have all the documents prepared and kept ready in originals and in Two sets of Notary attested copies (all documents required as mentioned in the “documents required” section). Travel document are to be kept safe at all times.
On arrival at Tbilisi air port, the candidates will be picked up by the representatives of the University and briefed on their arrangements and reporting time at the University. They will then be taken to the accommodation arranged for them (agent’s representative will arrange student’s accommodation but University do not have any role in arranging student’s accommodation OR students can arrange her/his own accommodation). The representative will also give a general orientation to the students on the place of stay and about all other concerned mattes.

Those students who successfully complete their studies and can be selected for practicing their profession in different locations (many potential EU and US based health care group will visit the campus for recruiting potential candidates for their organization). University’s role is to assist the potential health care European and US employers to conduct job fair at the campus (this is for the final year students only) and the actual deal has to be made between the candidate and with the health care employer.
